Are "Trapped 8th Graders" able to play in the tournament? Yes, they are allowed to participate in our tournament as long as they are not registered as a GUEST player. They must be a regular roster player for the team. (A "trapped" or "orphaned" 8th grader is one who will be in the 8th grade in the fall, yet has a birthdate where she/he turns 14 before Aug 1st.)
Where will the tournament be played? Miami White Water Soccer and Harrison Soccer Complexes
I can't download or print the PDF files. In some instances, you may not have the Acrobat Reader installed or your browser configured to print of display PDF pages. In this case, you should ask one of your parents to access the files for you.
The application form does not look right on my screen (overlapping drop down boxes, long rows over the input fields, etc.) What is going on? First, you should let the ENTIRE form load BEFORE you scroll. It is a big form. In short, your computer does not have enough memory (RAM) available to render the form correctly. Here is the solution that will work in most cases: 1. Clear the cache (temporary files) in Internet Explorer (Usually Tools>Internet Options>Remove Temporary files 2. Shut down Internet Explorer 3. Restart the computer 4. Open JUST MS Internet Explorer. 5. Go to Web site, fill out form. In most cases, this will solve the problem....
What are some other activities that might interest the families attending? There are 3 shopping malls and 3 large scale movie complexes on the I-275 loop within 15 miles of the fields. Miami-Whitewater is a county park and has trails as well as picnic and play areas. There is also a large haunted house that draws a good crowd each year about 6 miles from the fields.
What hotels/motels are near the fields? There are hotels/motels both north and south of the fields on the I-275 loop around the city. A list of hotels and distance from the field can be found in the hotel section of the website. If more information is needed, feel free to contact the tournament director.
What will the tournament do to ensure my team plays the proper level of competition? We are very fortunate to have very good coordinators for both boys and girls. They will do their best to see that teams are placed in the correct bracket. Premier teams may be given the opportunity to play at a higher level in order to give them better competition.
When will we know if we will be accepted? We are beginning acceptance of teams who have paid their entrance fee by Monday. We need 4 teams to equalize 4 different age groups that have an odd number. We would like to accept everyone and think we can round out these last few age groups quickly. We do need checks from all those who have not yet paid so that we can begin scheduling. If you have forgotten or have lost you form send a check with your name age group and gemder and we will take care of the rest.
